Thanksgiving
This week we reflect on all the great things that have happened in the last year, and boy do we have A LOT to be thankful for! We really couldn't ask for a better life! We spent Thanksgiving at the Tolman's house this year with the Kodas and the Grandmas. We had a fantastic feast and a nice little afternoon.
Standing
Adalyn LOVES to stand up. If someone is holding her, she's happiest to be standing in their lap. A few nights ago, she stood like this in her crib for about 5 minutes.
Duck Hunter
Adam got 3 ducks his first time out hunting this year! He insisted on dressing Adalyn in all brown for the picture. Next time she'll wear her Beaver gear. :)

3 months
I know, I know, the bow with the pajamas is a bit much. But, I didn't want you thinking she looks like a boy in her guitar pjs!

Stages
Can you believe Adalyn is already almost 3 months old?! I can't. It's truly remarkable how fast time goes. It's also remarkable how much she has changed in just 3 months.
Eating: She now eats 4 to 6 ounces at a time and eats every 3 to 4 hours. The more she eats, the longer she can go between eating. The switch to the lactose-free formula has made her feel much better! She's much, much, less gassy and no longer has a stuffy nose. About the time we switched formulas she stopped nursing well. I was also having a tough time juggling work and pumping, so we gave up nursing all together. We made it about 10 weeks, 4 weeks past the original goal of 6 weeks.
Sleeping: She has officially slept through the night! One night last week we put her to bed at about 10:30 and she slept til almost 5:00! It was fantastic. More often though she gets up one time during the night because she usually sacks out around 8:30. She can make it til about 3:00 then usually sleeps til about 6:00.
Motor skills: Her hands are very active. A lot of times she uses them to hold her binky in. When she first wakes up, she stretches a lot and rubs her fists all over her face. She holds her head up with no trouble and loves to stand up on your lap with support. She doesn't seem real close to rolling over yet, but those legs sure do get to kicking when she's laying on her back.
Interaction: She smiles and snickers frequently now. She makes eye contact and follows sights and sounds with her eyes. She coos and babbles more than before and occasionally even lets out a little yell.
It's hard to remember what our lives were like before she arrived! She's truly the center of our universe. :)
