Happy Easter!
Easter 2011 was fantastic! When we woke up, the Easter Bunny had already visited, so Adalyn hunted eggs in her pajamas. (It was chilly so she wore a hat too.) Then we had lunch at the Tolman's house with most of the Chamberlains and Grandma Bev and hunted eggs again. Next we were back to Vale for dinner with Oma, Grandpa, and the Murrays. It was a busy and fun Easter!

Spring is Here!
Well, it's finally starting to feel like Spring has arrived! The grass is greener, the trees are starting to get buds, and the sun shines on occasion! Wahoo!
The first weekend in April, I met up with my high school friend Heidi and we flew to San Antonio, Texas for our friend Amber's wedding. We had a fantastic time! We explored the Riverwalk, helped set up for the wedding, ate lots of good food, and drank a few margaritas. Amber and Robb's wedding was exquisite! It was a beautiful setting, with perfect decorations, and an absolutely stunning bride and groom. I'm so glad I was a part of their big day!
It was the first time I'd spent any time apart from Adalyn, but we all did fine. In fact, she and her dad were VERY busy while I was gone. They gutted the entire office, including my closet, repainted the room, and had everything put back in before I got home. In addition, I have a new desk, and we have some new shelving in the office, all made by Adam! It's beautiful and will be SO nice when it's all finished!
The following week, the three of us loaded up in the pick-up with the camp trailer attached, and drove to Corvallis! Santiam pass was a complete white-out and we drove several miles at 10 mph, but we made it! We camped at the KOA outside of Corvallis. I attended a Gerontology Conference for two days, and Adam and Adalyn made the rounds visiting friends. We had one extra day of play before it was time to head home, so we drove North to visit Aunt Karen in Woodburn, and met up with Hollan and Corinne in Beaverton for Pho and a trip to Uwajimaya, the Costco-sized Asian Market there. We THOROUGHLY enjoyed our trip and had so much fun seeing old friends. Fortunately the drive home was much less stressful. Staying in the trailer worked out so well! Adalyn did just fine with it all and we're looking forward to (hopefully) several camping trips this summer!
Adalyn had a Doctor's appointment this past Wednesday to have her second flu shot. She weighed in at just under 18 pounds fully clothed and didn't make a single peep when she had the shot!
Today Adalyn is 8 months old! We spent most of the day relaxing at Oma and Grandpa's house. Adalyn and Grandpa rode the lawnmower up and down the driveway. She did NOT want it to end.
