February Recap

Once again, I'm reflecting on how fast the time goes and realizing I haven't done a great job keeping up with my blog! Here goes the re-cap of what we've been up to since the last post:

Adalyn enjoys playing in her exersaucer quite a bit now. She definitely prefers the upright position it provides as opposed to laying on her back. She's usually content in there for 10 to 15 minutes at a time; just enough time for me to empty the dishwasher and wash bottles or switch out the laundry. House work is a little trickier with a little one around!

Adalyn now takes most of her baths in the kitchen sink. It's just the right size for her (it won't be long til she outgrows it) and puts a lot less strain on Mom's back compared with the bathtub.

Adalyn flew in to wish Uncle Col a Happy 26th Birthday. Her Mom and Dad enjoyed steak and lobster dinner in his honor. Yum! Thanks Roger and Carol!

We celebrated Adalyn's six month birthday with balloons, chocolate cupcakes, and turkey dinner. She got a kick out of the balloons.

We visited McCall, Idaho for a weekend of skiing and relaxation with Roger and Carol. Adalyn thought getting bundled up was pretty cool! I think she looks like the polar bears Muck and Luck from the animated movie Balto. :)

Grandpa John taught Adalyn "up." She sits on his lap holding his fingers and when he says up, she pulls herself into standing position. I'm not sure which of them enjoys it more.

Oma and Grandpa John gave Adalyn a walker for Christmas. (It stays at their house.) She's starting to really get the hang of it now and loves the lights and music it plays.
